We are Hanna and Edu and we are happy to welcome you to CALIMU!

Let us tell you a bit about us, CALIMU and how it came to be.

CALIMU

CALIMU is a love project of two friends.

It came about when Hanna moved to Spain in 2023 and met Edu. After long conversations about the plans for the future, we realised that we can merge our two ideas: Edu's vinyl and comic books shop, "La Comarca" and Hanna's dream of opening a bookshop café.

After short planning and loads of musings, we found a perfect spot in Tarragona and our dreams became real.

Our vision

CALIMU is meant to be the place for unwinding and forgetting about the worries of the world. As our guest and customer, you can come over and buy a book or a vinyl disc and stay for coffee.

It's a place that feels like home outside of home: cosy, inviting and calm.

Our products include:

We plan to organise regular book club hangouts, meetings with authors, poetry nights and much more.

Collaborations

We want to collaborate with small-scale crafters to help them showcase their work and sell it in the physical shop.

Quo Vadis?

I (Hanna) am the owner of "Quo Vadis?" - a bookshop café, where you can have some coffee, grab a book and just forget about the world.

I always dreamed about opening a place like this. After visiting another bookshop-café, "Między Wierszami" in my hometown, Szczecin (Poland), I realised that my love for books and my passion for chilling with a hot beverage could be combined and turned into (hopefully) a profitable business.

I am a restless soul - I'm originally from Poland, but I lived 4 years in the UK and 10 in Ireland before moving to Spain. Now this is my home.

I am AuDHD, and I have mild disability, so I aspire to make everyone feel welcomed and included.

La Comarca

I (Edu) am the proud owner of Comics & Records "La Comarca".

For almost two decades, it has been my pleasure and dream to share with my clients wonderful music and fantasies from ages past, and I do hope to keep doing it for many years to come.
